I set semi-precious stones in sterling silver using sterling silver wire (and sometimes 14kt. gold-filled wire). The technique is actually quite old – going back several thousand years. The only implements used are sets of pliers, a wire cutter, and of course your hands. There is no glue, solder or casting involved and no chemicals or power tools.

I specialise in sourcing unusual gemstones and collaborate with several lapidaries who cut and polish their own stones. They work with premium and rare materials and will cut the stone to maximise the colour and pattern of the piece. This means that these stones are unique and one off and this is reflected in the finished jewellery.
Presently, I am work on a new line of simple, streamlined pieces incorporating faceted, precious gems including pink topaz, apatite, fluorite and ruby among others
